Mom’s Vanilla Ice Cream


1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
6 eggs
1 can Eagle Brand milk
1/2 tsp. sale
1 qt. half & half
1 pt. whipping cream
4 Tbsp. vanilla extract
Whole milk

Beat eggs til light and frothy. Add sugar, canned milk and salt and beat. Mix in half & half, the cream and vanilla. Pour into ice cream freezer and fill to line with milk.
Makes 6 pints
